SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- The Apple Inc. faithful are preparing to gather Monday for the company's annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, and Apple appears to be taking steps to dampen any expectations that anything as crowd-pleasing as new iPhones could be unveiled.
