President Barack Obama has decided to use his immense popularity to take on a group that may be even more popular with the voters—their doctors.
オバマ大統領は、その絶大な支持者からの人気を、さらに任期のある層である支持者の医者に向けて使うことを決意した。
On Monday, June 15, Obama went to Chicago to speak at a meeting of the American Medical Assn., the nation's largest physician organization. It was the first time in 26 years that a President has addressed the group. Obama's message: Any health-care reform bill will have to change the way doctors are reimbursed. That is, they could end up making less money.
6月15日月曜日、オバマはAMAの会議で発言するためシカゴに行った。AMAは全米最大の医師による組織だ。オバマのメッセージは、全ての医療制度改革法案は医師の報酬変更を変更する必要がある。つまり、稼ぎが減る羽目になりそうだ。
