President Obama is committed to working with Congress to pass comprehensive health reform this year in order to control rising health care costs, guarantee choice of doctor, and assure high-quality, affordable health care for all Americans. The Administration believes that comprehensive health reform should:
オバマ大統領は包括的な医療制度改革法案を、今年中に通過するよう検討することを公約している。同法案は、医療費上昇を抑制し、医師の選択を保証し、全てのアメリカ人に高品質で支払可能な医療を提供することを約束するものである。政府の考える包括的な医療改革とは：
○Reduce long-term growth of health care costs for businesses and government
企業経営と政府の長期的な医療費上昇を抑制する
○Protect families from bankruptcy or debt because of health care costs
医療費によって、家計が破産もしくは債務超過に陥らないようにする
○Guarantee choice of doctors and health plans
医師と医療計画の選択を保証する
○Invest in prevention and wellness
予防と健康に投資する
○Improve patient safety and quality of care

○Maintain coverage when you change or lose your job
